Organized Crime In The 1920's Was Different Than Organized Crime Today

Organized crime in the 1920's was nothing like organized crime today. Back then, though they were criminals gangsters had some basic respect for the world and other people. It is shocking to see the way that gangster and mob men today act. They are nothing like the classy organized crime in the 1920's. Back then organized crime in the 1920's was classier and it had some style. Now it seems like all of the class of organized crime in the 1920's has gone out the window.

Those involved in organized crime in the 1920's killed people sure but they did not kill innocent people, or at least they tried not to. Now this is simply not the case all of the time. I don't think as much effort is put into this compared to in organized crime in the 1920's. And a large part of this is probably the drug factor.

Even organized crime in the 1920's was concerned with drugs but less of the men actually did the drugs. Those in organized crime in the 1920's sold the drugs and smuggled them in but they, or most of them anyways tried to stay away from them.

Organized crime in the 1920's was before the time of the Gotti's but he was a man of that style. He was dedicated to his family and he respected those around him. HE was a real man who did right by his family in almost every way besides the fact that he was a criminal. Organized crime in the 1920's was more like this. Now organized crime is flashy and tacky. There is virtually no class in it anymore, not like organized crime in the 1920's. It is hard to find the words to explain my meaning. Men may have killed each other when they were in organized crime in the 1920's but that did not mean that they did not respect each other. In fact that might even lead to the deaths in organized crime in the 1920's. Good competition is not something that has ever been strived for, not in organized crime in the 1920's and definitely not now.

If you were in organized crime in the 1920's you had your territory and no one interfered with it or else. Organized crime in the 1920's did not mess around they made it clear what was and was not permitted.
